1. Introduction
CeeMate (“the App”) is a GPA and CGPA calculator for Android developed by Verni Interface (“we”, “us”). This Privacy Policy explains how CeeMate handles information.
The short version: CeeMate is a local-first app. Your results and grades stay on your device. Only community templates use our server.
2. Information We Do Not Collect
CeeMate does not collect, transmit or store any of the following on our servers:
- Personal identification information (name, email address, phone number)
- Your grades, results or CGPA
- Location data
- Advertising IDs
- Usage analytics or behavioral data
CeeMate has no account, no ads, no analytics and no crash reporting.
3. In-App Purchases
CeeMate Premium is a one-time purchase through Google Play Billing. Google processes the payment, and we never receive your payment details. Google Play confirms your purchase to the App so it can unlock Premium.
4. Local Data Storage
Everything you create in CeeMate, including results, courses, grades and settings, is stored in the App’s private storage on your device.
Your data leaves the App only when you choose: when you export a backup, Excel file or PDF, or share something through Android’s share sheet. If you have turned on Android backup to your Google account, Android may include CeeMate’s data; this is controlled by your device settings and Google.
5. Third-Party Services
- Community templates: CeeMate downloads the public list of course templates and updated grading systems from our server. If you choose “Upload as template”, the App sends the school details you enter and the course list, with all grades removed. Uploaded templates are public, and you can remove your uploads in the App.
- Google Play Billing processes purchases.
- Google Play In-App Review may occasionally ask you to rate the App.

6. Children’s Privacy
CeeMate is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App, please contact us so we can address it.
7. Data Security
Your data is protected by your device’s security, such as screen lock and encryption, and the App talks to our server only over encrypted connections. Keep exported backup files somewhere safe, because they are not encrypted.
8. Your Rights & Data Deletion
Because CeeMate does not store personal data on our servers, we hold no personal data for you to request or delete. To delete your CeeMate data, delete results in the App, clear the App’s storage in Android Settings, or uninstall the App. To remove a template you uploaded, remove it in the App or contact us.
9. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the date at the top of this page.
