1. Introduction
Ledge (“the App”) is a personal finance app for Android developed by Verni Interface (“we”, “us”). This Privacy Policy explains how Ledge handles information.
The short version: Ledge is a local-first app. Your financial data stays on your device.
2. Information We Do Not Collect
Ledge does not collect, transmit or store any of the following on our servers:
- Personal identification information (name, email address, phone number)
- Your transactions, balances, budgets or receipts
- Location data
- Advertising IDs
- Usage analytics or behavioral data
Ledge has no account, no ads, no analytics and no crash reporting.
3. In-App Purchases
Ledge Premium is available as a subscription or a one-time lifetime purchase through Google Play Billing. Google processes the payment, and we never receive your payment details. Google Play confirms your purchase to the App so it can unlock Premium. You can manage or cancel a subscription in Google Play.
4. Local Data Storage
Everything you create in Ledge, including ledgers, transactions, receipt images and settings, is stored in the App’s private storage on your device. Ledge also keeps a weekly automatic snapshot on your device so you can recover from mistakes.
Your data leaves the App only when you choose: when you export a backup, CSV file, monthly pack or PDF statement, or share something through Android’s share sheet. If you have turned on Android backup to your Google account, Android may include Ledge’s data; this is controlled by your device settings and Google.
5. Third-Party Services
- Google Play Billing processes purchases.
- Google Play In-App Review may occasionally ask you to rate the App.
- Google ML Kit powers receipt scanning. Scans are processed on your device.
Ledge has no server of its own. These services are covered by the Google Privacy Policy.
6. Children’s Privacy
Ledge is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App, please contact us so we can address it.
7. Data Security
Your data is protected by your device’s security, such as screen lock and encryption. Ledge can also ask for your device unlock each time it opens. Keep exported backup files somewhere safe, because they are not encrypted.
8. Your Rights & Data Deletion
Because Ledge does not store personal data on our servers, we hold no personal data for you to request or delete. To delete your Ledge data, delete a ledger in the App, clear the App’s storage in Android Settings, or uninstall the App.
9. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the date at the top of this page.
